CNRS

The CNRS-BX (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) is a public research institution in France with about 25 000 permanent researchers, engineers and administrative staff and 11 500 non permanent people. It comprises 10 departments and 1100 laboratories with a budget is about 3.4 billions EUR. The Bordeaux Institute of Condensed Matter Chemistry (ICMCB) is a CNRS-BX Institute, located within the Bordeaux University. ICMCB is involved in basic research in the field of advanced materials. One third of the researchers currently work in the field of materials for energy.

Within ENDURANCE , the “Energy # 1 – Fuel Cell” group of CNRS-BX deals with the ageing of cathode materials: production and shaping of electrodes, characterization (HT-XRD, SEM-EDX, TEM), EWOS, electrochemical measurements, coatings, Cr poisoning and sealing.
